While waiting for the local train, I happened to sit in a place at the station from where the station master's office was clearly visible. Just then, I saw some people lined up in the office with their hands tied. Perhaps they were passengers traveling without a ticket who had been caught.
Traveling without a ticket is dishonest and a crime. It causes loss to both oneself and the country. This trend is probably increasing.
If you have to travel without a ticket due to some compulsion, then you should immediately buy a ticket on reaching your destination and tear it up so that the railways do not suffer any loss.
